Required Permissions
The Laween driver application requires certain permissions on your device to provide the service properly. We explain below all the permissions we request and why we need them:
1. Location Permission
We need location permission to update your location in real-time for passengers, track your trips, and ensure the app works correctly.
- Precise Location: To update your location with high accuracy for passengers
- Background Location: To update your location even when the app is closed (required for drivers)
- Always Location: To continuously update your location while driving
2. Camera Permission
We need camera permission to capture profile pictures, vehicle photos, and ID/license documents.
3. Storage Permission
We need storage access permission to select images from the photo gallery and save files and documents.
- Read Files: To select images from the gallery
- Media Access: To select photos and videos (Android 13+)
4. Microphone Permission
We need microphone permission to make voice calls with passengers when needed.
5. Notifications Permission
We need notifications permission to send updates about new trips, incoming calls, and status updates.
6. System Permissions
We need some system permissions to ensure the app works reliably:
- Display Over Other Apps: To display incoming call and trip notifications
- Foreground Service: To continuously update location while driving
- Disable Battery Optimization: To ensure the app works reliably in the background and updates location
